How is it used?
Logistics professionals can use these accident records to plan schedules to allow for the possibility of disruption, or alter their routes to avoid accident-prone areas. This provides greater protection for drivers and stock and is an effective way to maintain insurance premiums for commercial vehicles.
Alternatively, smart insurers can use this data to more accurately calculate customer premiums, based on how often customers traverse dangerous roads.
Local governments can also use this data to pinpoint dangerous roads and pieces of infrastructure in order to boost public safety and reduce accidents on the road.
