||Complete street-level network with full navigational information and address ranges, place gazetteer, counties and districts, water features, town sprawls, country borders and railways. Key polygons of interest are provided; including some shops, airports, golf courses, industrial areas, cemeteries, universities, and sports grounds. Elevation contours, low emission and congestion charging zone boundaries and some building outlines are also included. MapMechanics has also created (and included free of charge) symbols for DfT and tourist signs (such as 'No Entry' and speed restrictions). In this Premium mapping dataset, there are many more named points of interest than provided in the Base Mapping product, including train stations, hospitals, park & ride, petrol stations, cinemas, restaurants etc.
||The NAVTEQ Premium mapping products include many more attributes attached to the street network than in the NAVTEQ Base and Standard products.
Navigation fields include: Road speeds based on posted or legal
speeds in eight categories in km per hr/miles per hour, number of lanes in 3 categories (one, two or three, four or more), direction of travel along the road segment, type of vehicle with controlled access along the road segment in 9 categories (e.g. Bus or taxi) together with a whole range of condition types and time and date information about when those condition types apply (e.g. Access restriction, gates, variable speed sign etc).
This Premium mapping data also includes the same address information found in the NAVTEQ Standard products i.e. fields that specify the first and last address on the right hand side and, separately, on the left hand side of each link in the road network.
Finally this Premium data also provides all the fields found in the Base mapping data as follows: Most features have name, ID and language code fields. Roads and streets additionally have alternative name, short name (e.g. Rd instead of Road), DOT name and information about the postcode and district lying to the left and the right of the road. The road network also has attributes identifying special types of road links e.g. pedestrian, bridges, tunnels, tollways, access to point of interest, boat ferry, rail ferry etc. To facilitate fast easy display of place names at a range of scales, the gazetteer of places has a classification; capitals, big cities, major towns, top towns, mid towns, small places and villages. Population counts are also attached to many place names. In GeoConcept format, z values are also included that specify whether each road connects with specific roads that cross it, or whether it is above or below the crossing road.
||This data is supplied for up to 5 users with an annual licence (perpetual also available) including a single update each time the licence is renewed. More frequent updates, specific usage licenses (e.g. per vehicle, routing or optimisation) and sub-regions also available, contact us for further details.
