Gazetteers contain reference information for named places and locations for use with your pre-existing maps.

They can also be used to provide background information in your thematic maps and separately for use in reverse geocoding with tracking applications.

Gazetteers include towns, street names, airports, farms, golf courses, hills, etc. with their geographic coordinates to enable easy placement on your map. Native spellings may be included as well as their English translations.
